Welcome to the Make Life Better Now test-reader website. This website provides invited and prospective test readers with limited access to the first four chapters of Make Life Better Now by LifeJourner Press.

By accessing or using this website, reading the manuscript preview, or submitting feedback, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not access or use the manuscript preview.

1. Purpose of This Website

This website is provided solely to introduce readers to Make Life Better Now and allow selected visitors to read and evaluate the first four chapters before the book’s final publication.

The manuscript preview is an unpublished work in development. It may contain incomplete, revised, or provisional material and may differ substantially from the final published book.

Access to the preview does not constitute a sale, transfer of ownership, public-domain release, or authorization for any use beyond personal reading and evaluation.

2. Ownership and Copyright

All content presented through this website, including the manuscript preview, book title treatments, written material, graphics, images, branding, page designs, and associated materials, is owned by or used with permission by LifeJourner Press and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

All rights not expressly granted in these Terms of Service are reserved.

You receive a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to access and read the available chapters solely for your own evaluation as a test reader.

No ownership interest or other intellectual-property right is transferred to you.

3. Permitted Use

You may:

Read the manuscript preview for personal evaluation
Make private notes for the purpose of providing feedback
Submit comments, observations, corrections, or suggestions through the methods provided on the website
Discuss your general impression of the book without reproducing or disclosing substantial unpublished content

Your access is for personal, noncommercial test-reading purposes only.

4. Prohibited Use

Unless you receive prior written permission from LifeJourner Press, you may not:

Copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute the manuscript or any substantial portion of it
Download, print, photograph, screen-capture, record, or otherwise preserve the manuscript for redistribution
Forward, share, sell, sublicense, or provide access to the manuscript to another person
Post manuscript passages on a website, social-media platform, forum, file-sharing service, publication, or other public or private distribution channel
Translate, adapt, rewrite, dramatize, summarize for publication, or create derivative works from the manuscript
Remove or alter copyright notices, authorship information, branding, or other ownership markings
Use the manuscript or website content for commercial purposes
Scrape, crawl, harvest, index, archive, or systematically extract website or manuscript content
Upload, submit, transmit, or provide manuscript content to any generative artificial-intelligence system, large language model, machine-learning platform, automated summarization service, dataset, or model-training system
Use automated tools, bots, browser extensions, scripts, or other technologies to capture, analyze, reproduce, or process the manuscript
Attempt to bypass password protection, access restrictions, technical safeguards, or other security measures
Use the website in any unlawful, abusive, deceptive, disruptive, or unauthorized manner

Brief quotations may be used in private feedback submitted directly to the author. This does not authorize publication or distribution of those quotations elsewhere.

5. Test-Reader Feedback

Providing feedback is voluntary unless a separate written arrangement states otherwise.

By submitting feedback, you confirm that:

The feedback represents your honest opinion
You have the right to submit it
Your submission does not knowingly infringe another person’s rights
Your submission does not contain unlawful, threatening, malicious, or intentionally harmful material

You retain ownership of any original wording contained in your feedback. However, by submitting feedback, you grant LifeJourner Press a nonexclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to review, retain, reproduce, adapt, incorporate, and use your suggestions, ideas, corrections, and observations in developing, editing, publishing, marketing, and promoting the book and related works.

This means the author may use ideas or suggestions contained in your feedback without owing compensation, royalties, attribution, approval rights, or ownership rights in the resulting manuscript or publication.

Your name, photograph, personal information, or feedback presented as a public testimonial will not be published for promotional purposes without your permission, except where your feedback has already been posted publicly by you.

Nothing in these terms prevents you from expressing an honest opinion or writing an honest review of the book. However, you remain responsible for respecting the copyright and confidentiality restrictions applicable to the unpublished manuscript itself.

6. No Compensation or Publication Rights

Unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise, participating as a test reader does not create:

An employment, contractor, partnership, agency, or joint-venture relationship
A promise of payment, royalties, commissions, gifts, or other compensation
An ownership interest in the manuscript, book, series, brand, or associated intellectual property
A right to authorship, co-authorship, editorial credit, acknowledgment, or attribution
A right to approve or control revisions, publication decisions, marketing, pricing, or distribution
A guarantee that the book will be published or that any particular suggestion will be adopted

Any acknowledgment or complimentary benefit offered to a test reader is voluntary and does not create an ongoing obligation.

7. Unpublished and Confidential Material

The manuscript preview contains unpublished material being shared for the limited purpose of reader evaluation.

You agree to exercise reasonable care in protecting that material from unauthorized copying, disclosure, or distribution. You may discuss the book’s general themes and your personal reaction to it, but you may not disclose substantial passages, detailed chapter content, unpublished proprietary material, or other information that would substitute for reading the authorized preview.

This provision does not prohibit truthful reporting of unlawful conduct, compliance with a valid legal obligation, or the expression of an honest personal opinion.

8. Availability and Access

Access to the website and manuscript preview is provided at the discretion of LifeJourner Press.

The website owner may, at any time and without prior notice:

Modify, replace, expand, or remove manuscript content
Change the manner in which the preview is provided
Restrict or terminate access
Suspend or discontinue the test-reader program
Correct errors or update website features
Refuse or revoke access where these terms have been violated

No guarantee is made that the website, preview, or feedback features will remain continuously available.

9. No Professional Advice

Make Life Better Now is provided for informational, inspirational, educational, and personal-reflection purposes.

Neither the manuscript nor this website provides medical, mental-health, legal, financial, therapeutic, pastoral, or other licensed professional advice. The content is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or resolve any medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional matter.

You are responsible for your own decisions and should seek qualified professional guidance when your circumstances require it.

10. No Warranties

The website and manuscript preview are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no express or implied warranties are made regarding:

The accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or suitability of the content
The availability, security, or uninterrupted operation of the website
The absence of errors, omissions, viruses, or technical problems
Any specific personal, spiritual, professional, financial, emotional, or other result from reading or applying the material

Because the manuscript is still in development, errors, omissions, formatting issues, and substantive revisions may be present.

14. Violations and Enforcement

Unauthorized copying, distribution, publication, extraction, AI ingestion, or other misuse of the manuscript may cause substantial and irreparable harm.

When a violation is discovered, the website owner may revoke access, request removal or deletion of unauthorized material, issue takedown notices, contact relevant platforms or service providers, and pursue other remedies available under applicable law.

Failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive the right to enforce it later.
